Adama Traoré

A Malian author, director and comedian

Adama Traoré is a Malian author, director and comedian, born in 1962 in Sikasso. He is the director and creator of the cultural association and theatrical company Act Seven of Bamako (S for Awareness, E for Education, P for Promotion, and T for Theatrical), initiated in 1994, and the Theater Festival of Realities. A graduate of the National Institute of Arts in Bamako in 1986, he taught drama from 1989 to 1999. From 2001 to 2005, he was an expert on West Africa with the International Commission of Francophone Theater. Adama Traoré is since 2002, knight of arts and letters of the French Republic.
