Dr Najat Zarrouk
Director of the African Academy of Local Authorities of UCLG Africa
Najat Zarrouk has 31 years of management experience in public administration (1983-2014). She served at the UN as a member of the Committee of Experts on Public Administration (CEPA) from 2010 to 2017. Holder of a PhD in Political Science and graduated of the National School of Public Administration (ENAP) in Rabat and the University of Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne). Author of numerous essays and articles on public administration and global trade issues, including the publication of a book on "Trade and Development: From GATT to the WTO". She is involved in several networks at the global, African and Arab level. She has received several rewards, including the "National Order of Merit, Outstanding Class" awarded by His Majesty the King of Morocco, the UN Medal of Excellence in Public Service in 2013 and the OP DWIVEDI AWARD 2015 from the International Association of Schools and Institutes of Administration (IAIA), to recognize her outstanding contribution to Public Administration and the advancement of public policies around the world.
