Carine Buma is a Climate and Energy professional, with about 3 years of experience working with multiple subnational governments in Africa and supporting them to spearhead innovative approaches in developing and implementing inclusive climate and sustainable energy strategies. Carine is a Professional Officer at ICLEI Africa; with a bachelor’s in petroleum engineering (BEng) from the Catholic University of Cameroon, Bamenda, and a Master’s in Applied Physics from the University of Fort Hare, South Africa (focusing on building integrated photovoltaic systems). She brings on board a wealth of experience from both the renewable and the non-renewable energy sectors.
